Hello to my fellow NAPCH members I hope you, your families and K9 partners are doing well!
ALpena 2023 is in the recordbook as one of the best per the attendees. We had close to 350 Teams. What made this a huge success was the participation of all the Members. Our Training sites ran smoothly and had plenty of assistance. To all the participants Thank you, and for your patience of the budget concerns.
Fellow Members, your Executive has voted to raise the Membership Dues effective January 2024. The dues have been $25 since the Organization started in 2004. Due to rising operating costs expenses the dues will now be $35.00. We will also be raising the Alpena Training Seminar fee to $500.00. (2024 Alpena dates 9-28 thru 10-3). Once again since starting the Seminar we raised one time to $400.00. The unexpected rising cost of 23% from the CRTC Base caused us to make this decision. I still believe the cost is a bargain considering housing and food are covered in the cost.
During the troubling times in our Nation and the World we must realize the importance of our role for the Safety of all. We must keep up our training and be above minimum standards. I currently have a Committee working on updating the certification standards and By-Laws for the organization that has minimal upgrade sine 2004. These will presented to you once the Executive Board approves the final drafts.
The new and updated NAPCH website is now functioning. The new site is now NAPCH.com. We suggest that all update your Browsers to reflect the new site. By now members should have received an email annoucing the site and instructing how to use the Member login. This relies that you gave us a valid email address to create your User name and Password. The site has many features and is state of the art to keep your files protected. We are still updating the forms and any glitches we may encounter as with anything that is new. If you need to update your information please send us an email.
