  • Professional references from supervisors

Professional Trainer Certification

Rigorous standards for NAPCH training professionals

NAPCH Trainer

Entry-level training certification

Requirements:
  • Regular NAPCH member for minimum 1 year
  • Minimum 4 years K9 handling experience
  • Handled minimum 1 dog professionally
  • Written support from 2 Master Trainers
  • Assisted in NAPCH team certifications
  • Attended minimum 1 NAPCH national workshop
  • Detailed resume and experience letter
  • Oral interview with Executive Board
  • Majority approval from Executive Board

Master Trainer

Elite certification for senior professionals

Requirements:
  • Regular NAPCH member for minimum 3 years
  • Served as approved NAPCH Trainer for 3+ years
  • Minimum 8 years K9 handling experience
  • Handled minimum 2 dogs professionally
  • Written support from 2 Master Trainers
  • Assisted in NAPCH team certifications
  • Attended minimum 3 NAPCH national workshops
  • Trained minimum 3 canines personally
  • Assisted with training other K9 teams
  • Detailed resume and expertise areas
  • Oral interview with Executive Board
  • Majority approval from Executive Board

Important: All applicants must submit materials to the Accreditation Chairperson by September 1st. Upon certification, trainers must remain active by performing certifications and attending workshops. Participation is reviewed every 2 years by the Accreditation Chairperson.
